3-ingredient buffalo chicken dip

Who doesn’t love buffalo chicken anything? It’s the perfect balance of heat and cool creaminess, all in one crowd-friendly format. Plus, this recipe might just be the easiest ever. All you need is shredded, cooked chicken (I like to use a rotisserie chicken for this!), mayonnaise, and hot sauce — plus a little salt and pepper. It takes about five minutes to prep, which makes it great for last-minute gatherings. Pop it in the oven to bake until it’s hot and bubbly, then serve with an assortment of fresh cut veggies, pita bread, crackers, and chips on the side for dipping and scooping. This dip is delicious and an appetizer that all of your guests will love (Whole30 or not) for game day or any gathering.

ingredients:

  • Shredded, Cooked Chicken
  • Mayonnaise
  • Hot Sauce
  • Kosher Salt
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

In a medium bowl, add all of the ingredients and mix until well combined.

step three: transfer to a baking dish

Spoon the chicken mixture into a 1-quart baking dish.

step four: bake until bubbly

Bake, uncovered, until hot and bubbly, about 20 minutes.

can i make this in advance?

You can prepare the dip through step three up to 24 hours in advance, but I’d wait to bake it off until you’re ready to serve. Be sure to cover it and store it in the refrigerator if you’re not baking immediately.

what type of chicken should I use?

I like to use rotisserie chicken for ease, but you can also use leftover chicken breasts!

I hope y’all enjoy this 3-Ingredient Buffalo Chicken Dip at your next watch party, game day tailgate, or any other gathering!

  1. Hi! If I 3x recipe approximately how many pounds of boneless chicken breast do I need to buy for 9 cups of shredded chicken?

    1. oh great question- I usually use a rotisserie chicken, which yields approx 3-4 cups shredded chicken (depending on the size) so i’d use 3 rotisserie chickens.
1 pound of raw boneless skinless chicken breast = about 3 cups of cooked, shredded chicken. so i’d do 3 pounds raw = 9 cups cooked, shredded! Hope this helps!
