This Tinto de Verano (Spanish Summer Wine Cocktail) is beyond simple, but deserves a permanent spot on the blog! Fresh, bright, and perfect for a summertime party.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know my love for Spain! I fell in love with the culture when I studied abroad in college and have loved recreating some of my favorite Spanish recipes and drinks at home, including this Tinto de Verano!
This super-simple Spanish summer wine cocktail is made with light red wine, lemon-lime soda, fresh lemons, and ice. Yep, that’s it! I love making this when we have guests over because you can set everything out and let guests serve themselves, yet it still feels special enough to impress. One less thing for you to do while hosting is always a win!

Ingredients:
- Light Fruity Red Wine
- Lemon-Lime Soda
- Fresh Lemons
- Ice

Recipe Step-by-Step:
Step One: Set up the Station
Arrange the wine, chilled soda, a bowl of ice with tongs, a small plate of lemon rounds, and a stack of glasses on a table or wherever guests can serve themselves. Keep the wine and soda cold in a cooler or large ice bucket, if possible!
Step Two: Build a Glass
Fill a glass with ice. Pour in the red wine, filling the glass about three-quarters full. Top with a splash of lemon-lime soda, add a lemon round.

Recipe FAQs:
Yes! They could use some updating, but I have a Sevilla Travel Guide, Madrid Travel Guide, and Granada Travel Guide.
A Spanish Garnacha or a French Beaujolais work great here!
