12-liter bottle lemon-lime soda(Sprite, 7-Up, or even Fresca)
4lemons,sliced into ¼-inch rounds (sub orange if preferred!)
1large bag of ice
Instructions
Set up the Station:
Arrange the wine, chilled soda, a bowl of ice with tongs, a small plate of lemon rounds, and a stack of glasses on a table or wherever guests can serve themselves. Keep the wine and soda cold in a cooler or large ice bucket, if possible!
Build a Glass:
Fill a glass with ice. Pour in the red wine, filling the glass about three-quarters full. Top with a splash of lemon-lime soda, add a lemon round.
Notes
Wine Note: A Spanish Garnacha or a French Beaujolais work great here!Hosting Tip: Make the first one in front of your first guest to show them the ratio, then let everyone pour their own. It's meant to be self-serve — that's half the charm and all of the ease.
