Ingredients

For the Sheet Pan Salmon + Broccoli:

  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 tbsp + 1 tsp Avocado oil
  • 2 [6-8 ounce] center cut salmon filets
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

For the Harissa-Honey-Butter Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp salted butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp Harissa you can sub your favorite hot sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp lemon zest, about 1/2 small lemon
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped cilantro leaves

For Serving (optional):

  • steamed jasamine rice
  • fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish

Instructions

Make the Sheet Pan Salmon + Broccoli:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the broccoli florets on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of the avocado oil and toss to coat. Spread the broccoli to each side of the baking sheet to make room in the center for the salmon filets.
  • Place the salmon filets in the center. Coat each filet with 1 tsp each of avocado oil and spread to evenly coat.
  • Season the broccoli and the salmon evenly with the salt and pepper. Transfer to the preheated oven and roast until salmon is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork, 12 to 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, make the Harissa-Honey-Butter:

  • Heat a small skillet or saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the butter and let melt.
  • Add the honey, harissa, garlic, lemon zest, and cilantro and whisk until well combined. Cook, lightly simmering, to allow the flavors to meld and slightly thicken, about 5 minutes.

Serve it up:

  • To serve, divide the salmon and broccoli over steamed rice, if desired. Drizzle with the harissa-honey-butter and garnish with cilantro! Enjoy!

So darn good! My fiance says this sauce is his new favorite thing. Definitely adding this into the rotation with our butcherbox salmon! I used trader joe’s harissa and i’m gonna add just a touch more this time. I used 4th and heart turmeric ghee because that’s what I had. Delishhh

Have this recipe three times now! This harissa honey butter is so delicious – we’ve made it to drizzle over chicken, veggies, and tilapia too.

This was delicious, every bite was gone, I made the heat a little higher (425) and put the broccoli in for 5-8 mins before the salmon only because I prefer mine a little more charred, but everyone loved it, even the picky teens. Can’t wait to eat the leftover sauce with something for lunch!

I love all of your recipes, but this might be my new favorite and will be added to our regular meal rotation. Next time, I’m going to make extra sauce and put it on leftover veggies. Thank you for an easy, but delicious weeknight meal!

This was fantastic! Weeknight effort for weekend taste! I didn’t have a lot of broccoli so supplemented with asparagus. It did really well on the sheet pan.

Made this the day after you posted because we already had fish and broccoli on the menu (and I was not looking forward to my boring version). The harissa honey butter is phenomenal. Totally took it over the top. I saved the extra butter and poured it over all of our leftovers (today it was over leftover steak and potatoes). Incredible!! Will make this again and again!

What is your preferred Harissa brand? I loved the recipe, but my mild Harissa didn’t pack enough punch.

This looks delicious! I don’t love salmon. What other fish would you recommend to go with this sauce?

This sauce will go well with most fish– maybe try halibut or cod!

Looks delish! Is there a good substitute for butter in this recipe if you are dairy free?

I think a vegan butter or ghee would work best.
