Love this recipe! Easy and delicious. Each time I’ve made this I have trouble with candy keeping shape and not seriously melting – it’s delicious regardless but any tips on how to get them to keep shape a little better? Would freezing them before hand be useful?
I bet freezing them would work great!!! mine kinda spread/spatter a bit too but I love the little melty candy bits on the pan! haha
i love these cookies so much– i’ve made both the thumbprint version and have put chocolate chips in them as chocolate chip cookies- both SO amazing and incredibly easy– a bonus– no eggs needed!
yay!!! so happy they are a hit! and yay to no egg baked goods right now!
These are so good – followed the exact recipe!
Can you use regular flour or does it have to be almond flour.
I haven’t yet tested this with regular flour! I am sure there are lots of thumbprint cookies online using all purpose flour and you can just pop in the candy bars like I did here 🙂
Can I swap the candy for jelly like a traditional thumbprint cookie? I’d love to do a mix of chocolate ones and jammy ones cause I loooove a traditional thumbprint so I’m curious if I could get away with that. Would it change anything with the baking instructions?
