You will be addicted to this Crockpot Skirt Steak. The flavors are unreal and it takes 2 minutes to prep — pretty much guaranteed to enter into your dinner rotation. You can swap the skirt steak for flank steak & use the same seasoning, also delicious. I made this last week for my boyfriend and I and served it over our avocado cilantro lime brown rice. He had 3 servings! This week he wanted me to cook it again. He (more like we) are obsessed!
Crockpot Skirt Steak Ingredients: (serves 3-4)
- 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. skirt steak
- 1 yellow onion or white onion, chopped
Rub Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp. Montreal steak seasoning
- 2 tsp. cumin
- ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp. chili powder
Directions:
Place skirt steak in crock pot and cover with onions. Cook on LOW for 6 hours
Serving Suggestion: Our avocado cilantro lime brown rice is great if you are not doing the whole 30 program. If you are doing the Whole 30 Program or just want a leaner side, our Cauliflower Cilantro Lime Rice makes for the best pairing!
Here are some great additions to consider:
- black beans
- avocado slices
- lime wedges
- fresh cilantro
- salsa
- corn tortillas
Leftovers? Try making scrambled eggs topped with your skirt steak with a side of sliced avocado & lime!
Enjoy!
