You will be addicted to this slow cooked skirt steak. The flavors are unreal and it takes 2 minutes to prep–pretty much guaranteed to enter into your dinner rotation. You can swap the skirt steak for flank steak & use the same seasoning, also delicious. I made this last week for my boyfriend and I and served it under our avocado cilantro lime brown rice. He had 3 servings! This week he wanted me to cook it again. He (more like we) are obsessed!
Ingredients: (serves 3-4)
- 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. skirt steak
- 1 yellow onion or white onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp. Montreal steak seasoning
- 2 tsp. cumin
- ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp. chili powder
Place skirt steak in crock pot and cover with onions. Cook on LOW for 6 hours
