Perfect Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe hass avocado
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons freshly chopped cilantro leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 jalapeño pepper, ribs removed, seeded, and finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice (from about 2 limes)
  • grain-free tortilla chips, for serving
  • crudité, for serving

Instructions

  • Remove the pit from each of the avocados and scoop the flesh into a large bowl, separating it from the skin.
  • Add the salt, pepper, cumin, cilantro, garlic, jalapeño peppers, tomatoes, red onions, and lime juice.
  • Using the back of a spoon, stir and mash up the avocado until it is all combined with the ingredients and it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Season to taste with more salt, if needed. Serve with chips and crudité and enjoy!
