Michelada Mix

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Clamato juice
  • 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (from about 3 limes)
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 1 lemon)
  • 2 tablespoons pepperoncini juice
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon maggi seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce, such as Tapatíor Valentina, plus more to taste

For Serving:

  • Lime wedges
  • Tajín seasoning, for the rim
  • Cold Modelo beer (or other Mexican lager)

Instructions

Make the Michelada Mix:

  • In a pitcher, combine the Clamato juice, lime juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, maggi seasoning, celery salt, kosher salt, black pepper, and hot sauce. Stir well to combine. Taste and adjust hot sauce or seasoning to your liking.

Prep the Glasses:

  • Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass, then dip the rim in Tajín to coat.

Assemble the Michelada:

  • Fill each glass with ice. Pour about ½ cup of the Michelada mix into each glass (or to taste), then top with cold Modelo beer. Gently stir to combine.

Serve:

  • Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy immediately!
