My Food First Morning Ritual

Please note that I only work with companies and products that I feel passionately about and that align with The Defined Dish’s views and that this post contains sponsored content. While I am compensated for the work I do, my opinions are always 100% my own.

The best foundation for any healthy lifestyle is a well-balanced diet that makes YOU feel great. For me, I like to focus on eating lots of fruits and vegetables, proteins and healthy fats. I like to call my lifestyle Paleo-ish. I think it’s safe to say, if you follow my Instagram, that I certainly do not eat 100% Paleo/Whole30. I love pizza, pasta, enchiladas and desserts. I love the balance I have found for myself and I love the relationship I have created with food.

Morning Ritual: Food First

While building that foundation is of utmost importance to me, I have also learned a lot from my naturopath about the importance of supplementing my diet with vitamins to help fill nutrient gaps. That way, I know I am supporting my nutritional needs while still enjoying the balanced diet that I love for myself.

Over the last few months, I have started to incorporate Ritual’s Essential for Women Multivitamin. Ritual was designed to help fill nutrient gaps and contains key nutrients in bioavailable forms that my body can efficiently utilize.*

Morning Ritual: Food First

The 9 Essential Ingredients in Ritual’s Essential For Women:

  1. Methylated Folate
  2. Omega-3 DHA
  3. Methylated Vitamin B12
  4. Vitamin D3
  5. Iron
  6. Vitamin K2
  7. Boron
  8. Vitamin E
  9. Magnesium

Ritual has worked hard to source high-quality nutrients and true transparency isn’t just something that they’ve printed on their label. They are always proud to showcase their nutrient forms, dosages and supplier information, which is something very important to me when I add vitamins or supplements to my diet. They’ve put together a product with no B.S. in it — that means clean ingredients in vegan-friendly forms. So goodbye shady additives, fillers and artificial colorants!!!

Aside from what I’ve mentioned above, here are a few more reasons why I personally choose Ritual.

  1. Delayed-Release, Capsule Design. Hallelujah! I am definitely that person that gets super sensitive when I take vitamins and supplements. My body is very reactive to them! This design feature has been a GAME CHANGER for me. While I 99% of the time enjoy breakfast every morning, there have been a few mornings where I take my Ritual Multivitamin on an empty stomach and I still feel normal.*
  2. Methylated Forms of Folate & B12. This is something that I have been advised to take from my physician and I was so happy to see it included in the Ritual Multivitamins!
  3. Fresh Flavor. Lastly — and this is something that isn’t super important but it makes the experience that much better — the multivitamins come with a mint-infused tab! Which keeps things nice and fresh!!

For me, Ritual meets everything I wanted in a daily women’s multivitamin. I love that they’ve adapted to the modern woman and created a fantastic product. I really love that in two daily capsules, Ritual focuses solely on their 9 key nutrients.*
